To Akşam Newspaper, All Media Members and Related Professional Organizations,

As Media Watch Group, we discount the article of Engin Ardıç in his column in Akşam Newspaper bearing date of the 8th of August which was full of abusive language and aspersion to feminists and all women who are working against sexism with our confidence to the conception and decision already possessed by public opinion about the intellect, opinion, persuasiveness and consistency of Engin Ardıç. With the article, it is plainly aimed to controversialize using provocation tactics with the fear of getting attention, increasing the falling readability.

Our question and reaction are to Akşam Newspaper as Women's Media Watch Group (MEDİZ) and women's organizations who supports MEDİZ:

This article including harsh aspersions and abusive language, not criticisms:

Humiliating women,

Heaping harsh aspersions to feminist movement of Turkey and the world (also giving names),

Insulting laws with ‘trying to joke with' the ‘description of spouse' in civil law,

Swearing to inhabitants openly and in a harsh way by giving the name of districts and counties,

Is composing an apparent crime over against the laws as well as being unethical. For these reasons, we are both waiting for your apologies and postulating from you to perform what is necessary in order to award a disciplinary punishment to related writers.
